The Home Office of the ‘Adventure Capital’ of Fiji

Pacific Harbour is long known as the ‘Adventure Capital of Fiji’.  It has earned that moniker through a seasoned blend of spectacular natural resources and some entrepreneurial spirit to bring the best of Fiji to its honored guests.  Uprising Resort, is owned and developed by a Fiji’s ‘local’ so it could have been built almost anywhere on one of Fiji’s 300+ islands.  Pacific Harbour was chosen because simply nowhere in Fiji is one able to do so many things, so close and with so much fun.

Look Ahead for Ocean Opportunities
If you are seeking a touch of adventure with heaping spoonfuls of fun, Uprising has all that and more on the menu.  First there’s the stunningly brilliant coral of Beqa Lagoon right at your door step.  Beqa was labeled by no lesser an authority than Jacques Cousteau himself as the “Soft-Coral Capital of the World”.  Well past the lagoon, on the other side of Beqa Island, is perhaps the most famous shark dive in the world.  Closer to home, the resort is loaded with variety of water sports and day trips including the fast n’ furious Jet Ski Safari.

Look Around for Culture at Your Doorstep
Arts Village Cultural Centre is the unofficial ‘keeper of the flame’ when it comes to presenting Fijian culture as it once was.  It also happens to be just a 5 minute walk from the resort.  Here you can see the world famous Beqa fire walkers, watch traditional warriors fight for survival and to stay out of a stew.  You will enjoy watching and even singing along to ancient standards sung by local Fijians in traditional attire.  Arts Village also has dozens of shops, a few quaint little eateries and an evening entertainment option as well.  There are also local villages that can be visited and opportunities to mingle with the locals and gain a real perspective of what it once was and what it is today… good stuff.

Cultural Activities include:

  • Traditional Fijian Dance and Fire Walking
  • Ancient Village Tour
  • Handicraft and Souvenirs
  • Current Village Visit
  • Kava Ceremony
